(FORT BEND COUNTY) - Despite the signage that prohibits abandoning animals at the Fort Bend County Animal Shelter and the cameras that are in full view, a senior dog was abandoned after hours Sunday and officials would like to speak to the woman who did it.
Shelter staff have named the dog “Buddy,” named after the brand of his unregistered microchip, BuddyID. The microchip was sold to a local rescue organization and shelter staff are attempting to reach them. Buddy is probably between 12 and 14 years old.
“Our first concern is Buddy and making sure that he finds a loving and secure home, but we would also like to speak to this woman to see what information she has about him,” shelter representatives said. “If you recognize her, please contact us at 281-342-1512.”
