(RICHMOND) - The Richmond Commission has unanimously voted to appoint Judge Lora Jean Lenzsch as the city’s new Municipal Judge for the city’s Municipal Court. Judge Lenzsch has experience as a municipal court prosecutor, having represented many municipalities including Richmond where she has served as the city’s prosecutor for 32 years.
An Ad Hock Committee comprised of Mayor Pro Tem Alex Bement, City Manager Terri Vela, City Attorney Gary Smith, and Municipal Court Administrator Carol Trujillo provided input and guided the process through interviews with several candidates before recommending Lora Jean Lenzsch.
