(FORT BEND COUNTY) - The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for the Fall 2023 Citizens Police Academy scheduled to begin Aug. 31. Online registration will close on Aug. 25.
The 11-week program is free of charge and will be held at the Gus George Law Enforcement Academy, located at 1521 Eugene Heimann Circle in Richmond. The program will accept 35 qualified participants, and will consist of two-hour sessions held on consecutive Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The Fort Bend County Citizens Police Academy is intended for community members who wish to be more informed on local law enforcement issues as well as those contemplating a career in the field.
