Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office: Register by Sept. 30 for National Night Out Block Parties

(FORT BEND COUNTY) – Fort Bend County residents who would like a Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office deputy to attend their block’s National Night Out event should register by 5 p.m. Sept. 30. National Night Out is Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

National Night Out is an annual community-building event that promotes police community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.


“Each year, we look forward to National Night Out because it is the perfect opportunity for residents to meet our deputies in a fun and engaging setting," said Sheriff Eric Fagan. “Community safety has been, and will continue to be, a prominent focal point of this administration.”


National Night Out is designed to:


• Establish and maintain positive relationships with neighbors and local law enforcement.

• Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness.

• Generate support and participation in crime prevention efforts.

• Let criminals know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
