(RICHMOND)– Utah-based SWIG will break ground next month in the Grand at Aliana, joining several new and expanding brands planning to open early next year.
SWIG’s dual drive-thru will be located on a 19,161-square-foot pad site adjacent to an under-construction retail building. SWIG is scheduled to open in January, with Salata, Shipleys Donuts and Wingology following suit later in the year.
SWIG is known for its “dirty sodas,” a made-to-order combo of soda, cream and syrup with 100 distinct beverage options. Founded in 2010, the chain now has 54 corporate locations in Arizona, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.
Drive-thru beverage chains have grown exponentially in recent years. The Grand at Aliana also is home to Dutch Bros, one of the fastest-growing companies in the category.
