“Fall in Love” Adoption Event Set for Oct. 15 at Constellation Field

(SUGAR LAND) – The City of Sugar Land plans to host a multi-agency adoption event on Sunday, Oct. 15, at Constellation Field, 1 Stadium Drive, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission and parking are free and shelter adoption fees will be waived during the event.

Join Sugar Land, Rosenberg and Fort Bend County Animal Services alongside rescue organizations and animal-themed vendors to celebrate “Falling in Love” with future pets. Enjoy the Fall breeze at the home of the world champion Houston Astros Triple-A affiliates, meet local animals available for adoption and participate in family-friendly activities.

“We want every dog at the event to get adopted,” said Director of Special Projects Jennifer Brown. “Our mutual goal as shelters and rescues is to find homes for all of our adoptable animals. Events like this one put many adoptable dogs in one place, close to home, so families can find their next best friend.

“This is another example of ongoing efforts to better meet the needs of Sugar Land’s pet population. Combined with initiatives to leverage and coordinate regional resources and utilize a broader spectrum of expertise, we think we can make a real difference.”

Sugar Land’s continued focus on partnerships, new programs and expanded engagement is intended to ensure the best outcomes for both the city and region’s continually growing pet population.
