City of Rosenberg to Hold Bond Election for New Facilities

(ROSENBERG) – The City of Rosenberg is proposing a 2023 Bond Election to address needs for new facilities. City officials say that if the bond is passed, it will not increase the debt tax rate for residents.


The Bond Election includes two propositions. The first proposition is for an Emergency Services Complex, including Fire Station No. 4, Fire Administration and an Emergency Operations center in the amount of $18,500,000.


The second proposition is for a Public Services Complex, including offices, shop space and warehouse space for Public Works, Utilities, Fleet Maintenance, Building Maintenance, City Engineer, Capital Projects and the Parks Department. The complex will also include a fueling system and a wash bay for all city vehicles and equipment. This proposition is for $33,000,000.


Early Voting in Oct. 23-Nov. 3 and Election Day is Nov. 7.
