City of Richmond Receives Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 18th Year

(RICHMOND) - The City of Richmond has received the Certificate of Achievement in Financial

Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the U.S. and Canada for its annual audit, also known as the annual comprehensive financial reporting for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2022. This marks the city’s 18th consecutive year receiving this recognition.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of acknowledgment in the field of governmental accounting and financial reporting. Richmond’s ACFR has been evaluated to “meet the rigorous standards of the program, demonstrating a commitment to a transparent ‘spirit of full disclosure’ to effectively communicate its financial narrative and engage potential users in reviewing the ACFR.”
