(SUGAR LAND) – The Sugar Land Lions Club as been awarded the 2022 Charter Partner of the Year Award at the recent Arrowhead Dinner in recognition for providing extraordinary service and support to the Scouting Program and community at large, thanks mostly to the contributions of Lion Carol Clarkston and Lion Ella Aubin.
The Sugar Land Lions have sponsored Boy Scout Troops and Cub Packs for more than 60 years. During that time, they have had several members passionate about serving as Club Liaisons as well as within the BSA organization.
At the dinner, Clarkston also received the Arrowhead District Chairman’s “Spark Plug” Award for always being ready to help and for keeping the spark going. In addition, she was awarded the Arrowhead Honor, which recognizes proficiency in the contemporary tools and techniques commissioners use to provide effective unit service.
