Stafford Man Killed in Car Crash, At-Fault Driver Runs from Scene

(STAFFORD) – Stafford police are looking for a 20-year-old man they say was the at-fault driver in a fatal car crash.

According to police, officers were called to the scene of a major vehicle crash in the 13100 block of Murphy Road around 6:17 a.m. Sept. 10. When officers arrived at the scene, they learned that the driver responsible for causing the crash had fled the scene on foot. The crash killed Stafford resident Cecil George.


The police department’s Criminal Investigation Division was able to identify the suspect as 20-year-old Jose Antonio Pina Tenorio of Mexico.


Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Tenorio is asked to call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at (281) 342-TIPS (8477). All calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous. Tips can also be submitted online at www.fortbend.crimestoppersweb.com. Information which leads to the apprehension and filing of charges on the suspect could earn the caller up to a $5,000 cash reward.
