Missouri City Branch Library Offers Healthy Aging Series for Seniors

(MISSOURI CITY) - Fort Bend County Libraries’ Missouri City Branch Library will present a special six-part series for senior citizens, “Keys to Embracing Healthy Aging,” on Fridays, Oct. 7 through Nov. 18, from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m., in the meeting room of the library, 1530 Texas Parkway.

Presented in conjunction with the Prairie View A&M University Cooperative Extension Program, the series will feature a different topic each week. Participants may choose to attend the whole series or individual sessions.

· Oct. 7 – “Keys to Embracing Healthy Aging 101”

· Oct. 14 – “Eating Smart & Physical Activity”

· Oct. 21 – “Brain Activity, Social Activity, & Tuning In to Times”

· Oct. 28 – “Practice Being Safe & Know Your Health Numbers”

· Nov. 4 – “Positive Attitude & Stress Management”

· Nov. 18 – “Sleep & Taking Time for You”

This series is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and registration is required.
