(KATY ISD) – During this week’s monthly board meeting, the Katy ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2025-2026 instructional calendar.
The 2025-2026 calendar includes the following key dates:
Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025:Â First Day of School
Friday, May 15, 2026:Â Last Day of School for Seniors
Thursday, May 21, 2026:Â Last Day of School
 As a District of Innovation, authorized under House Bill 1842, Katy ISD has the flexibility to obtain exemptions from certain provisions in the Texas Education Code that allow changes to the instructional calendar.Â
Included in the approved 2025-2026 calendar are district holidays, featuring Independence Day, Labor Day, Martin Luther King Day, and Memorial Day, along with additional district holidays in October and April. Katy ISD will continue providing a full week off for Thanksgiving, two weeks for Winter Holiday and New Year’s, as well as one week off for Spring Break. Â
