(FULSHEAR) -The Fulshear Police Foundation's annual “Gumbo Cook-Off” is from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 12, in the parking lot of the Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center, 6450 Cross Creek Bend Ln.
Teams will “battling it out” for the best gumbo around. Additionally, there will be numerous items up for raffle and auction, both live and silent. Live music will be provided by Fred Rusk and the Zydeco Hi-Steppers.
Open parking is available at the Marcel Center (New Municipal Complex, 6611 W Cross Creek Bend Ln.) just west of the Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center. Additional open parking is available at the Ivy Kids across the street from the Welcome Center. Overflow parking will be on Plymouth Lane and Skyline Drive.
