Fulshear PD Warning of Car Burglars in Cross Creek Ranch

(FULSHEAR) – Fulshear police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles after several cars in Cross Creek Ranch were entered in the early morning hours of July 12.

Around 3:35 a.m. officers received a call about a suspicious vehicle near Aspen Falls in Cross Creek Ranch. Officers searched the area and discovered two trucks had been entered through unlocked doors and rummaged through, but nothing was stolen.

In searching the area, officers came across a white four-door sedan sitting in the Shell parking lot on FM 1463. As officers approached, the vehicle sped off. Officers gave short pursuit, but the chase was terminated after losing sight of the car. This morning, police received several calls for burglary of motor vehicles in the same area shown on the map below. In each case, the vehicles were left unlocked, and nothing was taken. Police believe the suspects may have been looking for weapons.

“These crooks were taking the easy opportunity to commit a crime by simply looking for unlocked vehicles,” said police representatives in a statement. “Thank you to the alert citizen that called in the suspicious vehicle. Also, as a reminder, please lock your doors and remove your valuables.”
