(FORT BEND ISD) - Fort Bend ISD joins other school districts in observing National School Lunch Week, October 11-13, with the theme of “Level Up with School Lunch.”
Families are invited to participate with food-themed activities and a coloring page. Parents and guardians are also welcome to join their student for “Take Your Parent to Lunch Day” on October 11. Be sure to check with your student’s campus for specific instructions for attending lunch.
National School Lunch Week has been observed for nearly 60 years to promote the importance of a healthy lunch for students. Like a healthy breakfast, eating a nutritious lunch has been shown to positively impact a student’s academic performance.
FBISD’s Child Nutrition Department will also celebrate its “Harvest of the Month” item, which is apples for October. There will be themed menus throughout the week. Click the links below to view the menus.
