(FORT BEND ISD) – Several of Fort Bend ISD’s Career and Technical Education teachers have earned industry certifications to help provide real-world knowledge in their classroom.
“Earning industry certifications helps our educators remain relevant in their respective industries so they can share their knowledge and skills with their students,” FBISD’s Assistant Director of CTE Crystal Mills said. “It also helps them prepare their students to take their own certification tests.” FBISD offers 14 CTE programs that allow students to explore a variety of careers. The courses provide real-world experiences including guest speakers, job shadowing and internships. Most programs offer industry-recognized certificates and/or licenses that align with the course’s curriculum.
