(FORT BEND ISD) – Fort Bend ISD high schools earned top ratings at the UIL Region 13 marching band competition Tuesday at Mercer Stadium with nine schools earning the highest rating of superior and advancing to the next level of the competition.
The nine schools are Austin, Bush, Clements, Dulles, Elkins, Kempner, Ridge Point, Travis and Willowridge.
Willowridge High School’s superior rating is the first division one rating since 2008.
Austin, Bush, Clements, Dulles, Elkins, Ridge Point and Travis high schools will compete in the 6A Area E Marching Band Contest on Saturday, Oct. 29, at Challenger-Columbia Stadium in Webster.
Kempner and Willowridge high schools will advance to the 5A Area E Marching Band Contest at Alvin’s Freedom Field this Saturday, Oct. 22.
