(FORT BEND ISD) - Fort Bend ISD recently recognized and celebrated the contributions of parent volunteers and parent educators on National Parent Involvement Day.
“Fort Bend ISD knows firsthand the difference that engaged and involved parents can make in their children's education,” Executive Director of Fort Bend ISD’s Collaborative Communities Department Payal Pandit Talati said. “Our department works to foster relationships and connections between our campuses, volunteers and the community in order to support and enrich student achievement and success.”
Fort Bend ISD has parent organizations, Volunteers in Public Schools, booster clubs, and many more that devote their time and energy to students.
In addition, the district’s Parent/Family and Community Educators housed at our Title I campuses work closely with parents and encourage them to get involved in their student’s education. They serve as advocates for our families to connect them with the needed resources on campus or within the community to support their students learning at home.
Fort Bend ISD welcomes and encourages parents and community members to volunteer with district and campus initiatives. To volunteer, visit www.fortbendisd.com/Page/131868.
