(FORT BEND ISD) – Fort Bend ISD’s Materials Management Department has been awarded the Award of Merit in Purchasing Operations by the Texas Association of School Business Officials.
The honor is regarded as one of the state’s key benchmarks for excellence in public and non-profit procurement. This is the sixth time FBISD has received this award.
The Award of Merit is given based on the following criteria: innovation, professionalism, productivity, e-procurement and leadership attributes.
“This achievement is further validation that FBISD is in compliance with national and state standards and that we incorporate these recognized best practices into our daily operations,” Executive Director of Business Services Richard Gay said. “It’s another example of the dedication our Materials Management team puts in each day to fulfill the district’s mission of achieving an exemplary education for our students.”
