FBISD Board Appoints Directors in Early Childhood and Transportation Departments

(FORT BEND ISD) – The Fort Bend ISD Board of Trustees has approved Yady Blessinger as the Director of Early Childhood and Christine Jaime as the Director of Transportation.

Blessinger has been serving the district as the Assistant Director of Early Childhood since 2019. Her selection for the director’s position comes amid rapid growth in FBISD’s pre-K program, which increased from 1,352 students in 2018 to 2,188 students in the current school year.


Blessinger has also served FBISD as an ESL- Bilingual Specialist, and as assistant principal at Armstrong and Arizona Fleming elementary schools. She worked as a staff analyst and researcher in the Houston Mayor’s Office of Education and began her career as a kindergarten bilingual teacher in the Houston Independent School District in August 2001.


Blessinger earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism at Universidad Fundación de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Colombia, South America. She earned a master’s degree in educational administration from The University of Texas at Austin and a second master’s degree in bilingual education from Houston Baptist University.


The Board also approved Christine Jaime as Director of Transportation. She has worked in Lamar Consolidated ISD as a Special Needs Transportation Manager and in Friendswood ISD as an Assistant Director of Transportation.

Jaime began her career in Friendswood ISD as a bus driver in 2006. She attended Blinn College in Brenham.
