(SUGAR LAND) – Two alleged homes burglars have been arrested after a Sugar Land homeowner saw them inside their house via live surveillance footage on an alarm app.
On Oct. 28., a Waters of Avalon resident was alerted via a home alarm app that someone was inside their home. After seeing live surveillance footage of the suspects inside the house, the homeowner called Sugar Land police, who arrived just as the suspects were leaving in an SUV. After a short chase the suspects ran on foot after crashing the vehicle. Officer established a perimeter and utilized Drone technology ultimately
taking two burglary suspects into custody.
“Well trained and well equipped SLPD Officers brought this criminal event to a successful and peaceful ending,” said police.
Felipe Gutierrez and David Rojas, both foreign nationals, are at the Fort Bend County jail facing Felony charges for burglary of a habitation and evading police in a vehicle.
