(FORT BEND ISD) – Burlington Stores marked the opening of its new location in Missouri City with a surprise $5,000 donation to Fort Bend ISD’s Rosa Parks Elementary School.
The donation was given in partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, a non-profit organization that supports teachers and students.
The $5,000 will be used by Rosa Parks’ teachers for classroom supplies and materials available through AdoptAClassroom’s online marketplace that features 30 office supply and school vendors.
The new Burlington store opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week at its location at 10431 Highway 6 in Missouri City.
Representatives from Rosa Parks ES were present at the opening, along with representatives from Fort Bend ISD and its Collaborative Communities department which supports students in need and their families.
Burlington Stores is a national off-price discount retailer with brand name merchandise that began partnering with AdoptAClassroom.org in 2017. During that time, they have provided more than one million students with the tools and supplies they need to succeed now and in the future.
